What
is call accounting?
Easy Innkeeping ASP
PBX interface module
allows you to automatically
link your Telephone
database stored in your
phone system with the
station database stored
in The Call Accounting
Software. All the Telephone
information can be imported
into your Easy Innkeeping
Call accounting software.
Easy Inn keeping call
accounting module tracks
phone calls made by
guests from their rooms
to their bills within
Easy InnKeeping.
First, the phone extensions
should be defined in
the Setup > Units screen.
Then, click on Tools
> Option Setting screen.
Select the Call Accounting
tab.
- After exporting
data from the call
accounting software,
a file named CALLLOG.log
will be generated.
Select the location
of this file by clicking
on the Browse button.
- Specify the time
interval to automatically
check and read data.
- Click on the Check
Data Now button to
import the call accounting
data immediately.
Then the corresponding
phone charges will
be automatically imported
the reservations in
Easy InnKeeping. To
view the phone charges,
open the reservation
and then click on
the Bill button. The
phone call will be
listed as a charge.
1. Call
Polling Interface
The Call Polling interface
Dialog is shown is the
image below . After
entering all the details
like property Id, time
delay the start button
should be clicked. To
start the Call Accounting
Interface, the Enable
Call Accounting interface
check box should be
checked.
Start
Operation
If the Enable Call Accounting
Interface check box
is checked, and on clicking
the start button the
message will appear
as "Easy InnKeeping
Call Polling Interface
running" as shown in
the image below
Disable
Operation
If the Enable Call Accounting
Interface check box
is not checked, on clicking
the start button the
message will appear
as "Details submitted
successfully. Easy Innkeeping
Call Polling Interface
is Stopped" as shown
in image below . In
this case the details
will be saved in the
server, but CAI will
be stopped.
Stop
Operation
To stop the Call Accounting
Interface, the Stop
button is to be clicked.
On clicking the stop
button the message will
appear " This will shut
down the Easy Innkeeping
Call Polling Interface.
Do you want to continue?".
Click on the "Yes" Button
on the dialog and the
Call Accounting Interface
will be stopped.
2. Tray icon
Click the Call Polling
Interface(CPI) shortcut
and a tray icon will
appear on your tray
menu. After starting
the CPI minimize the
CPI dialog or click
on the close button.
This will enable the
tray icon. On right
click of the tray icon
it will display the
menu's of tray icon
as shown in the below
figure.

Show Dialog
To show the CPI dialog
click on the show menu
of tray icon. This will
show the CPI Dialog
Remove
Tray Icon
To remove the tray icon
from tray bar, click
on the End button of
tray icon. This will
remove the tray icon
from the tray bar, but
the CAI will keep the
status of the CAI as
it is.
3. Call Accounting
Interface
The Call Accounting
Interface is the one,
which reads the CALL.LOG
file and sends the data
to the EIKASP. This
will run automatically
according to the time
delay set in CPI.
This should be started
once at the time of
installation. To start
the CAI, right click
on CAI shortcut and
click open or double
click on the CAI shortcut.
After starting, the
CAI will be saved in
System Start up folder
to keep running.
According to the Time
cycle it will check
whether the CPI is started.
If it is on start this
will read the file and
send the data to the
online EIKASP automatically.

Show Dialog
To show the CPI dialog
click on the show menu
of tray icon. This will
show the CPI Dialog
Remove
Tray Icon
To remove the tray icon
from tray bar, click
on the End button of
tray icon. This will
remove the tray icon
from the tray bar, but
the CAI will keep the
status of the CAI as
it is.
